new season...

It has come. fall is here.

i dream of pumpkin spice lattes and loose park in the fall. of huge colored maple leaves falling all around me. of a briskness to the air and football season starting. of school starting with all the students tanned from summer adventures. of ultimate frisbee in amazing weather.
of breaking out favorite blankets for cozy nights with fall-scented candles. of bon-fires with laughter and story-telling galore.

despite the vast difference from my memories and the here and now...there is a crispness to the air in these parts that reminds me of my beloved autumns in America. we are marching around our home without fans which is a huge victory. and i even put pajamas on CB tonight. first time in a long time.
and i am feeling the winds of change. that we have 3 more months people to really give ourselves here and then we are done. yikes!!!

of course my brain is planning parties, halloween, claire's first birthday, picnics, family days at the park, and a survivor challenge for the team. all very important things. while ryan is planning on how to pack, store our stuff, and move all our belongings from one country to another country. ha! those type of details are killer to me...

i am in love with my bear. she is raising her eyebrows, flashing these enchanting smiles, these mischievous smiles, these "are-you-serious-mom?" smiles when i am trying to hard. we have hit a new wave-length of communication and i am just saying..I LOVE IT!!!

each day with her, i see our hearts woven more deeply together and i am starting to get this fierce-mother-bear thing. children are keys that unlock this unexplainable, intense, amazing love that i you never knew you had.

so, Fall, you are welcome. bringing with you hot drinks and cozy pajamas. new classes and exciting curriculums. a new journal and a new babe. you are going to be a grand one...
