the finer things of life...

thank you all for the concern over my last post. with our new schedule in arabic i am realizing just how intense it is to raise a busy, crawling, cruising 9 month old and still stay on-my-game. i cant even imagine having multiples and studying. here is a long overdue shout-out to all those moms who go through nursing school. i dont know how you do it. =)

i have realized one of the keys to my happiness this semester is going to be...my oasis. the weekend. i have a three day weekend. i know what you readers are thinking "you have a three day weekend and you are whining about your time?" and my answer is- no. i am not whining. i am adjusting. i dont have more than i can handle, i just want to live each moment and each day to its fullest and really really learn as much as i can the last months of my jordanian life.

so jam pack those four days...study...cook..visit...tons and tons of homework...preparations...memorization...but then fall into a heap and be done for my long weekend.

this weekend was so so sweet. continuing on with Kelly's idea of honoring a gal among us...

we tried to surprise Sarah and show how much we love her and what she brings to the team.

the theme was " the finer things" because Sarah brings beauty wherever she goes and she really does....sparkle. from her fancy shoes to her kindness to her thoughtfulness to her heart of intercession. she is growing in grace, beauty, resilience and arabic. she is shatra. (arabic for smart!)

with the "finer things" theme wanted to make everything look more fancy...i have to admit some looked better than others. i attempted a peanut butter chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream icing. sounds great, eh? they tasted more like muffins than cupcakes but a las...they looked fancy...

and we are laughing and adjusting to having our littles with us at all our parties!!
