farmer's market.

so this oasis of a weekend, i can't say enough about it. wow. wow. wow.

drew and i woke up and took ourselves on a little walk to our running trails. then we split off and jogged on a glorious fall day. the temperature was perfect, we had the trails to ourselves, and i could just soak in the sunshine, beauty, and exhilaration of running on trails not cement. aah.

shot of the trees, the trails and my sweet companion.

i love this shot...because you can tell CB is trying to hide from me in her sleepy state:

then we went to our farmer's market. ha!

this is our vegetable stand that we buy most things at. most Sundays, we come by here after our run and buy fruit, veggies and go home and make smoothies or some sort of goodies. you all would be very very jealous of the price.

this is Emad, the owner who loves Layla Bear too much and always wants to hold her and kiss her when we stop by. she causes quite a ruckuss when we stop by. all the men fight over who gets to hold her and yell things to each other like " how lucky you are!" to whoever is holding her.

i diligently studied and then rewarded myself with a cozy read of Mockingjay when the bear fell asleep. what a good book can do to you! it was the perfect end to a perfect weekend!

  3. these is such a "family" moment. dang a little routine, a little outing, a little babe. nice. I love that the men shout "how lucky are you!"
It made me think on what the black papa says and shouts over us. I love it. I love the delight that is so freely expressed through him. seeing this happy family sure does make me happy.
