latest adventures..

so this week has been a very break-from-the-ordinary because one of my closest friends from early highschool is here visiting....calley crews.

it has been sooo fun. getting to show someone your life is such a treat. everything from our favorite ice cream, to what we eat for breakfast everyday, to team maufia games, to my newest recipe feats, to even having our neighbor's show us how to dance arabic style. calley is up for anything, loves new tastes, new situations, cultures and processing. so i am in heaven. =)

of course bear is crawling all over us, all around us, wanting our love, smiles and attention.

best moments so far...

taking a walk in the middle of the day and under-estimating how hot it was. so mamma mare
got real thirsty. cal-girl forgot to eat lunch. so as we are pushing the stroller up a hill towards a mall that is about 20 minutes away, we are both feeling a bit faint. =) problemo = ramadan= no eating or drinking in public. SO, we bought apples, water and nuts at the grocery store and went to the public restroom. we snuck our food into the stalls and i gulped down my water while calley munched on an apple and drank some water. we were giggling the whole time and i think the women in the bathroom were confused. not sure if we fooled them...

drinking coffee late at night, overlooking the city, while a drum circle was going crazy just around the corner. such a cool atmosphere and amazing company.

calley making me laugh really hard. a lot.

watching claire bear respond to the gift from cal...never seen her love something this much. she was shrieking and waving her arms and grinning from ear-to-ear. so funny what they choose to love! we are naming this bear "denver" in honor of cal-girl.

calley and i taking a girl's get-a-way to the dead sea. i had to drive, which i was super intimidated by...but ended up loving it. i miss driving SO much!!! best moment was when i was at a round-a-bout in rush hour and really had no idea how i was going to get across to the side i needed. i made eye contact with a police man and gave the shoulder-shrug-what-do-i-do-sheer-panic look. he walked out and stopped traffic for us and allowed us to cross. wow.

we still have a few more days....so i am sure there is more to come!
