Easter with dollies

aw man. the types of things a mama does. we decided on an Easter brunch again this year- feels good for nap schedules and so forth.

morning gathering = hard.

I mean talk about add another layer to the normal hostessing shannigans. bathe the girls so that their hair looks just right. Bathe yourself. Clean house. Dress girls. do their hair. cook food. do your hair and make up, start setting things out...

I felt done up all pretty, but was sweating by the end. ha.

Holidays. feel so milestone. For some reason i did not get pictures of them opening up their Easter baskets brought to them by Gigi, Nanny and  Googie. We took video, no pictures.

this year the Easter Egg hunt was more animated and exciting. Sophia was not very ambitious. the older kids were adorable.

We did not even have to even out the eggs this year. they didn't know any better. sigh.

One of my favorite moments was walking into the balcony where they were playing by themselves and just being with the kiddos. we sang songs together and laughed. i took pics.

the brunch was delicious, with the guest chef Kalyn Arndt blessing us with her cooking. The atmosphere was fun, laid back and relaxed.

It felt more special since Marmee and Papa Mike got to be with us.

We watched The Easter story on dvd for children...

My favorite snapshots:

and then we turned the dollies into regular fancy nancy's and sent them to church in style. there were a hit.
