Sledding day...

my little heart was storing up this dream-winter-outing. The husbands were off from work for christmas break. Which means load 'em up. We are hitting the sledding slopes, friends.

snacks, coats, gloves, change of clothes piled into the van and we  headed up the mountain with very very excited toddlers.

And i am freely admit that i feel pretty wild about playing in nature. the ocean, hiking, lakes, rivers, and mountains.

our girls loved the idea of creating the snowman...really the adults worked the most on it. ( excluding me, i was either taking pictures or sledding!)

how fun is it to play in a wonderland of creation? to let our littles play in the snow and create snowmen? To let them explore and be fascinated?

Layla ate  A lOT of snow.

and then of course there is the sledding. adrenaline rushes and squealing and warm little bodies up close.

it was a brilliant day of fun. after a couple hours of fun in the snow, we all headed to a Lebanese restaurant that is fantastic. the views from the restaurant are stunning. the food is fabulous. the setting was pretty funny though. the restaurant was so cold that we all stayed in our snow clothes. we could see our breath and as we waited for our food, we did the most logical thing. we danced to the Lebanese music videos on the big screen to stay warm.

The 4 girls stayed busy running, crawling, dancing, and hopping all over the empty cold restaurant and we just accepted it as we devoured our tasty fare. only in Lebanon.

 friends, they make everything sweeter.
