Cold days...

Our winter has been full of sunshine and walks. Park time and strolling by the Sea.  We have had to drive into the mountains to even have excuses to wear thicker coats and tights, but not this week…..

A storm rolled in. Storms here feel different than the ones we had back in Oklahoma because they come all of a sudden and can last for days. This storm lasted about 5 days, and was a thundercracking, lightning striking, streets flooding, roads are closed, snow is falling storm of all storms.

In all honesty, life stops here. School  was cancelled, no one goes out. Unless you send your husband for eggs so you can bake goodies, that is.

No, but for the most part, you just hunker down. You light some candles, bake up something yummy , watch movies, read books and try-to-stay-warm. Which means: mint tea. Hot drinks.

And for the girls..

they really got into the hat/glove thing. it was adorable!

i loved watching Fia try and hold babies with gloves on. ha!
trying to stay warm and cozy...
