Out with sistas

girl's time is much needed. we all know it. you hear it in movies, read it in books, watch it in shows. but it is just such a hard and fast truth- we need sistas.

we love our children more than life. our spouses wow us, and of course we love when the whole crew is together.

BUT there is something about us, the ladies. away.from.it.all.

away from diapers. from pacis. and highchairs. and mediating "share" principles. from babies. from tears.

we have a system here. that's right, go on ahead and think to yourself. "brilliant ladies". one of the women is the hostess. she plans our time out together or hosts something at her home. this month was Mel.

She planned an adventure. and if you know Mel - it was planned, organized, detailed, a very obvious flow of the way things would go. it was marvelous. no hitches. which is saying a lot for this city.

she had written riddles and we had to figure out what "gal" she was talking about and then we would go/do something specific for that gal. so fun. the day was gloriously spring and we drank it in.

off we went shopping ( for yess) and all so much more fun when everyone has a 'find'!

then to eat cinnamon rolls for our amazing baker and cozy friend- sarah. then on to playing a game for Val- Mel created a ' how lebanese are you?' game...

first and last place...

i am so grateful for our years together. for God giving us each other. for the past, present and future. that we are all changing and growing and emerging as women, mothers, wives and friends. that things don't stay the same in our lives and we have just learned to jump in and enjoy it!

love how these gals all looked similiar:

lastly mel took us to a new area with a cool market and park(me!). i did not take enough pics...but it was hard to capture. but it was so fun for my heart. exploring our lebs together.

you just can not get away from the sea..

loved this quaint park..

and even away from our littles we all wished we could be showing them the new treasure of a park we found!

it was a grand day mel. hat's off to you!
