bye bye paci
we have been talking for weeks...about 6 weeks..planning this day together.
( dont you love isaac in this one?)
he always amuses us
it went like this: bear you are such a big girl that we are going to say goodbye to your paci. but we should have a BIG party.
bear: yeah. balloons. cupcakes.popcorn. yasmin. isaac. novi.
mamma: yeah we have to invite all your friends! and we have to dance, right?
bear: yay!
so we did it.
we made the sign together. we talked about it. she picked out the balloons. we made the cupcakes and popcorn and even had chippies. and she was so into it, she could not nap. her last nap with paci was passed up out of party-anticipation. ha!
Baba surprised us with a song and dance number sang to the tune of "forget you". it was a hit!
( not sure what layla is doing here)
and then we walked down to the dumpster with our bag of paci's( isaac came for moral support) and she threw them in! there were cats all over the trash and i asked her if she thought the cats would end up sucking on the pacis.
then back to the party where the girls had so much fun.
the little sisters.
beautiful momma and cuddly ismay
out crew of littles...
matching dresses
cant wait for slumber parties with these two
loving on baby nour
herein begins the trial of sleep minus the paci. yikes. this girl loved her paci. the first night she was going to sleep and Baba was cuddling with her and she said "paci baba?"
he responded : where are they, layla?
she said: oh! the cats! but layla need them ! layla hold them!
oh sweet girl. you don't miss a thing. we mention it once and you grasp on to it!
not much sleep that night...she woke up in the middle of the night and then really early. then no nap the next day. it was getting a little crazy over here...but then all the sudden she tells me she needs to go to the potty and we score a big-girl-potty-moment in the same weekend!
i had promised her a "big treat" so we jumped in the car just me and the bear. and we went to Mcdonalds to get her ice cream. i wish there was some place that we could get ice cream with sprinkles. =)
anyway...she was adorable and loved her mommy-big-girl-moment. i did too.
that is the most brilliant thing i have ever heard of. i guess i need to have a big boy party in order to kick my bueno habit.
