celebrations...
you know how much i love parties...and so of course they are on my bucket list...
My buddy and i have been quite busy celebrating friends and babies that are coming and life in general over here! We had a fabulous shower for baby moll...and we are so so so excited to meet her!
( i said catered because we took it across town and it is a fancy word for prepared with love by us, the gals!)
Our friend, Wendy, from language school let us have the party at her house, and it was such a treat to have it there. It felt so fancy and special.
Claire has loved Val from the beginning. a special bond these two have...we are so excited to meet this new little life and cuddle, hold, and love on our new babe..
and we also had a very honoring invitation to Wafa' sister's home..and her house was built 75 years ago and absolutely beautiful. of course they prepared the famous dishes and we ate like kings and queens....
even the little one. she makes arabs proud. if you put something in front of her, she will eat it. no matter how strong the taste is...
and after our festive meal, we enjoyed the weather by sitting outside and chatting about everything...
the best moment of the night was when Val started giving the Arabs suggestions on what "slang" they should have...she wants them to say " i drink the atmosphere" for " i am having a good time" they were all laughing so hard they were losing it from this suggestion, the passion at which Val continues to suggest it, and how it just did not make sense to them.
claire with Wafa' as she takes in a chicken up close and personal...
