tribute to the bear

well, Claire is officially 10 months old. and so so so fun.

she is growing and has all these funny little attributes that i am loving in this season. Since all our family can't be around her, i thought i would dedicate a post to her little quierks...

She is attached to bears, stuffed animals bears. it is almost more than one could hope or dream for. i mean you nickname the cutie "claire bear" and then she loves all her different bears and basically picks one of them and takes them everywhere with her. crawls all around the house with them, watched a praise baby dvd with them, naps while cuddling one of them...and best of all...reads to them. so cute.

i have been preparing all her food seperately and bland, plain for her to get nutrition but not hate food. but this babe likes real food. a little garlic, olive oil, and a bit of taste, please. i could not get her to eat her veggies plain for the life of me. but thanks to the advice of a friends ( thanks, shay!) she loves her peas, carrots, anything as long as there is some taste to it!

she is so brave. she loves tight spaces and challenges. drew and i love watching her little brain work as she tries to figure out how to climb onto things and through difficult obstacles. she got the adventure gene, we think!

she loves to explore. for so long she was little-miss-social and wanted to be in the same room as us all the time, but now she is a little roamer, crawling all around the house trying to find new things. fun to watch her choices, but makes me think i am not ready for her to walk yet!

she loves to dance. sigh of relief. i mean sure, you could argue that we have brainwashed her from birth on dance parties and the vital importance of dance to your well-being, but it worked. phew. everytime she hears any music, even silly songs from mom or dad...she assumes position. and starts the bopping up and down and most times waves her arms. ahh...
( it even looks a bit like booty-dancing!)

she loves to read books. she sits and looks through books and giggles at their pictures. love it.

ok...that is probably enough for now...she loves holding our hands and walking...this is us trying to get her to walk with just one of our hands...

bear, you bring us so so much joy and we celebrate each moment we get with you!
