Enjoying the small things...Zahle...

Being disconnected from Internet and household demands and just being with the girls.

space and time to hear songs and performances and every thought on their heart.

Pajama party with story telling to “fire” in the soba and flashlight shadows…being scared of oogly googly and fia’s expressive face.

Pie and chocolate milk and giggles and dancing.

Sleeping all night in my super warm boots.  As in shoes.

Drinking cup after cup of warm team.

Packing our crew up in the hail and wild winds and then stumbling into our favorite restaurant. A good release for the girls from being in the house all day and for us to feast on hummus, mhamara, tabouli, and lentil soup.

Planning through days and whose turn it is to go on a visit, driving through storms and then knowing that visits never end up taking the exact time allotted, and how often the people you were wanting to visit are not even there.

Keeping close to our heart the value of being flexible, or recently worded- staying agile.

Choosing to take my babies and then second guessing myself when the hail starts coming and you are sitting in a tent with that babe. How you casually wait for a break in the hail to make a break for the car that is a hike away- not wanting to let on that is what you are doing all the while.

Or trekking in for a visit through mud and your three year old being so cute and independent only to slip and fall into the mud. Oof. Wondering why I don’t pack extra clothes for them but knowing that getting out the door with stuff packed for hope feels like a feat in and of itself.
