Lulu turns 5
first born bear, can i believe you are here. 5 years old.
all your inquisitiveness, your curiosity about every small thing, and watching your brain connecting concepts.
you are the swirl of life in our home. you have the ideas, the plots, the scenes, the ideas for you and Sophia to play out. I stumble upon you all in the guest room being puppies, or maybe playing school, or playing family, or who knows what.
you still have the best laugh- comes from deep inside of you.
You love to socialize, you want to tell stories, you want to talk to the adults, you want to make new friends. When teams come through, you go and makes those strangers your friends.
You love to pretend you are a baby. you love for this mama to baby you as you as the oldest get pulled on the most to help me out.
you love being the "doll i have wanted all my life" and me pressing your tummy to talk.
Your sisters light up when you are around and we miss you so deeply when you are at school.
I love seeing you journal to Jesus and watch you pray and ask him things and gain confidence as he answers you prayers.
i love watching you grow in your character, being selfless, sharing, being kind, choosing to do things that are hard ...kissing people when they smell like smoke ;) , recognize danger, want to help others, being generous and giving things away... you are growing into a kind, resilient, loving, generous young girl.
your birthday was talked about and planned for.months. This is such a fun age to plan and dream together in....
I spent the night before the party untangling rapanzel's hair, ironically.
and you know twisted and braided it so we could feel in the spirit.
you helped me get the party favor bags together...
he spoiled you and you had a blast...
when you came back we braided your hair and got your ready for you big party!
trying to make it look like a long rapanzel braid on the table...
Your best buddy Jude from School came and you were elated.
Maya and Isaac came...
and sweet elijah who sure loves you!
the cake...
you.are.five.
Laurine and Elodie joined us just in time for activities- decorating crowns.
our Kings!!!
We played a game of rapanzel, rapanzel throw down your long hair...
and not photographed is our last activity - dance party to " i have a dream" where we would pause and you all would shout out your dreams, it was so hilarious to hear what you all shouted out!
