Halloween!!!

such a fun party to plan! this year was super fun because Claire and I talked about this holiday for weeks leading up to it...

she is getting to the age of wonder where the build up, the discussions, the planning, the dreaming are all part of the event. and i love that. we talked about balloons, cupcakes, costumes and all the friends that were going to come....

my dreams of having a little girl...helping me with all the preparations, the excitement, the general atmosphere of "we are having a party" came true.

Rivers was the first to arrive. and she was thrilled!

then we tried an all-kid photo shoot...that was unsuccessful

the girls were compliant but were not winning the crowds with their smiles...
