My beach baby

there is something to be said about the fact that after a day of eating fresh prawns on the bay and lazy strolls with soft serve, driving through mountains and shopping in boutiques...my parents live so close to the beach that we can have a "late afternoon excursion" with the Bear. a simple throw-a-few-snacks-and-a-blanket-in-the-stroller and let's enjoy the crashing waves and sunshine for just a few extra moments.

which is what we did. and the bear was amazing.

can you believe the view?

even though the water was SO cold, she would get so mad when i picked her up.
i barely thought my feet could stand it, but she just stood there, feet planted wanting to walk deeper in. o brave bear, how are you so silly?

than Kathryn took a turn with her...

and then we went back and sat her in the sand. which she loved.

and before we knew it she was crawling all over the place, towards puddles of water and over sea weed. sea weed that made me jump and grab my foot. just crawled right over it, she did.

she has a very determined crawl that is adorable. she sees something she wants puts her head down and starts crawling as fast as she can, with complete whole-heartedness to reach her goal. she wanted the ocean, people. she is my beach baby. i love it.

it was such a delightful outing with just the girls..

and since we had not planned on swimming we did not bring towels or clothes...but alas we bundled her in a warm blanket.

more to come and next time i have to take some videos!
