Claire's First Birthday Party at School!!!

Our extremely generous and loving nursery workers wanted to celebrate the birthday of Claire before we travel, but she really wanted to do it when all the kids could be present...before baby Yasmin traveled to Holland.

So, on Dec. 2 2010 Claire Bear had her first birthday party. We all gathered into the nursery and got ready for the festivities...

Claire was getting over being sick, so this was her mood at first:

but we finally penetrated to her joyful soul and she warmed up to the idea of us celebrating her!

like a good mama, i could not come to her party empty handed so i had stayed up late making little banana muffins for her and her friends to be able to eat...which she LOVED! but her favorite thing were the store bought cookies.

why? because almost every visit that i go on, I get offered different varieties of store-bought cookies to go with my tea. and these days, claire is wanting to eat exactly what mom is eating, not just at the same time...

so this was like heaven. i finally caved and let her eat her little cookies with pink icing and she was sooo happy!

this party really would not have been a party if Jason had not brought his magic, his charm. let me tell you, the kids would have been bored out of there minds!

I am still in shock that my sweet little babe is turning 1 year old!!! ahh!

the loving nursery workers are so affectionate with our kids...

we are celebrating that day coming up soon...that is if we can have a party over the noise of a jack hammer drilling through our cement walls in our hallways. Our landlord decided to put in an elevator since we are leaving so he can get more clientele for our apartments. We are young, so we have no problem living on the 4th floor but he is worried about his future. it has made for very unpleasant days in our homes.

Just a little over one week left and we leave this place for good...ahhhhh!
