Christmas Day
so many firsts. first christmas just us caldwells. first christmas with sophia nour. first christmas in beirut.
as previously mentioned, the thought of this was overwhelming at first to me. but then i brainstormed, wrote down lists of what would make a christmas feel "magical" to me and got to work planning how i could make that happen.
candles, christmas lights on all the time, christmas music, dance parties, lots of cuddling...and of course christmas goodies.
christmas morning was magical. talking about it for days before and then watching claire get blown away by the tree...the presents..the stockings...and just laughing and playing with everything. o how fun christmas is for a momma.
playing with her new fairy toys...
here is the little bear playing with momma's purse. of course she would pick this to play with.
here is our little sleeping cutie...
Sarah and Andrew came over for christmas brunch and we had a royal feast. we love having the ones we love so dearly sharing our day with us.
we celebrated christmas dinner with the molls. i searched far and wide in this city for a ham to bake. no where. no how. turkeys cost an arm and a leg. sad, but Val saved the day and made chicken cordon bleu as our main dish...
then we had dressing, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn souffle, green bean casserole, jello pretzel salad, and pumpkin pie- a feast!
drew called claire's outfit claire cordon bleu...why did i not take more pictures of christmas night?
merry christmas and to all a good night!
