Hope girl turns 2
Hope girl. you are filling my cup.
as your sisters fight and scream and i wonder where all the wonderful calm problems solving skills i have tirelessly labored over have gone...you toddle into the room and give me a bright smile. or a concerned look about Pia and Layla. You intervene. you try and get them to calm down. or stop crying. or to be sweet. you pat them and bend over and try and console.
Your calm, chill, cuddly personality has blossomed into a toddling, chatty, tickle loving, hide n seek playing, wrestle baba tooter.
you still love to help me, and notice where everything goes. You put plates and shoes and toys away. You help with laundry. You grab your small broom and help me when i am sweeping the floors.
You want to help bake and apple.
Your love for babies is an obsessing, constant clasping of your hands in delight, demand to hold each one, and continually exclaiming " baby toot!" ( for baby cute! ) kind of love! You love animals maybe just as much and so i find myself walking down alleys following a cat we have seen and bird watching with you at any park we are at.
You have reached the stage where you want to be heard, to be seen. To play with your sisters, and share what you are thankful for at the dinner table. If they are coloring, so are you!
You sing around the house all the time, and love seeing Charbel and saying good morning to him !
We waited and wanted to celebrate your birthday with you at the Zoo. It was going to be themed- " Hope is two at the Zoo" and I was so so excited to watch you take in the animals. As much as we planned and talked in the house and with our friends, we could not anticipate the horrible weather and that our plans would be thwarted. So we had to re-arrange and do a simple celebration in the home.
the first chance we get, we are taking you to the Zoo, two year old girl.
we gathered for cookie cake and presents...
and this just spontaneously happened. she has got fashion sense, i tell you..
Then we were off to an indoor play ground to have fun and get some energy out!
Hope playing with all her friends.
Then after nap time, Hope opened all her presents from Marmee, Papa Mike, Gigi, Nanny and Googie, and Aunts and Uncles. The girls gave their presents and of course from Mom and Baba!
Hope girl wanted her Baba to bring her in while she played on his stomach ..
