the dancing

Sophia has entered an incredible season of adorableness. her wild hair, the way she  constructs sentences...how she can not say her "R"s...it all works together  to make the most adorable package of cuteness.

The wedding lead up was oh so grand. We met Jared ( or how we call him in our home Jawed) and all of us immediately LOVED him. We teased, initiated, demanded him to crawl, give piggy back rides, read books and so much more and he was not overwhelmed in the least. He was such a good sport and jumped right in. keeper. totally a keeper.

Initiation into Caldwell crazy

rehearsal dinner with the cuties...

Lauren was glowing and effusively spreading bliss into every wedding event. It was a joy to see her so alive, so beautiful, so alight with love. We had really deep connects, tears, laughter and lots of toasting at the bridal shower and dress rehearsal dinner. There were songs and dances. it was perfectly Caldwell.

And the wedding day? beautiful, effortless, no stress. The kids were acting so enjoyable...the bride was calm, radiant and completely at rest.

The moments that i absolutely froze in my heart. the little moments that you feel so grateful that you are watching or a part of....

the song "eye of the tiger " coming on in the bridal dressing area and the spontaneous dance party that erupted. It was so loud, so full of energy, bride dancing with all her heart...it was so so perfect.

Drew walking Lauren down the aisle...

the girls in their gold shoes.

Watching Layla walk down the aisle. So grown up. So big, throwing flowers and smiling like she owned the place.

the sister dance.

and then there was one of the best moments. one of this mama's highlights. After two pieces of cake, ahem, who would allow that? i ask you. ( exhausted mama trying to avoid tantrum would be the answer) anyways, after two pieces of cake the dance party started. and Sophia let loose. In a way that i have never seen. She danced and twirled and hip hopped, and was thrown around for almost an hour. She got up on the stage and danced as thought no one was watching her...the lights were pretty dim so not many were...and the way she let herself go was delightful. It was so sassy, so cute, so trying to be a big girl and her three year old cherub face and curled hair and golden shoes was just about enough to make me melt. i stopped and could not stop giggling and just beheld...for a long time.
