coronation day
was thinking through fun memories we could make together as a family that was low cost.
After we found out that the house that we were getting insanely blessed with to stay in for the 10 days with my family had just had a pool placed in it, our expectations shifted and we were mostly excited to hang around the wonderland of this house.
but thinking of how my girls love dressing up, love playing out things, and of course love all things Frozen...i dreamed up a " coronation day" .
up until the last moment it was unclear if the laid back Arndts would actually execute it...but last minute we did.
Kat and i took the decorating/ presents/ creating the " feel " lead and my dad and Eric took the storyline and challenges lead.
Papa Mike came and kidnapped the Queen, and her only hope was for some princesses to rescue her. It was hilarious watching Layla's face, so engaged and enthralled, and Sophia....definitely more scared.

The girl's role was to save the queen but they had to cross a lake where there were crocodiles. Luckily, there was friendly frog that helped them cross.
then they had to come up to the ice castle, but there was the monster Marshmallow waiting to defend his castle. luckily there was a wild elephant that had just the write amount of water balloons ( magic snow balls) to throw at this ferocious monster.
they zip lined down to safety and had to free the queen by shooting laughing gas on the captor who then just laughed and turned sweet.
then they were prepared for their coronation. As they walked in, the excitement was palpable. and they repeated speeches and recited how they would be worth princesses/ queens of Lebanon.
The Arndts came our in full flare. Last minute, hilarious, extravagant and the best. memory.ever.
