Twin’s visit

Been longing for this visit for almost a year. Bethany, John and sully were going to spend last Christmas with us, but all sorts of difficulties came up and they were unable, we thought maybe they would come after Christmas, but that also was thwarted. Then lastly, they were going to come visit in June, but had visa issues preventing them from coming. Ahhhhh!

So when tickets were bought, and I knew that they were coming for certain, I allowed my heart full freedom to anticipate and get excited!

Sully came in with a bustle of activity and he won our hearts immediately. Well, most of our hearts, Sophia had a more difficult time. He is adorable, sweet, loving, curious, and a bundle of energy. I have never had a child remotely like him, so I just giggled and chased and laughed and gasped as he did things none of my children have done. Boy, all boy.

Maybe the most heart stopping moments was when he was running away from me with a pair of kitchen scissors in his hand, thinking that it was a game. Or when he grabbed a knife and started walking towards fia- AHHHHHHHHHHH

I loved throwing balls back and forth, singing and dancing with him, wrestling and tickling Sully. He is really.to.die.for.

Also sooo fun to parent alongside John for a week.

Bethany said at one point she could hear us singing little songs we were making up in different rooms in the house. Ha ha, we carry on the mantel of mike arndt.  John is an incredible father- doting, adoring, PATIENT, and yet firm and full of kind discipline for his little tooter who loves to try to explore and push limits.

He is also an incredible uncle, the girls LOVE him…and love his songs, his silly questions, his cuddles, reading them books, and playing doll house with them.

Bethany is also an awesome mama- so full of PATIENCE…so silly, loving, full of kisses and sweet mothering to try and bring her little tigger into line some times.
It was a dream to get so much time to connect, talk, process, and share our life here with her.

Going into the camps and praying over infertile women and praying for a blind woman was so sweet- walking in faith and expectation and Hope together to see God shower down miracles and breakthrough to people who need it so very bad.

John, Bethany, and Sully made me laugh a lot. They also blessed me so much with the way they dug at my heart, loved on my kids, and brought mighty faith, incredible stories from their lives, and hope into our lives.

They left us filled up and blessed, which is a strong statement when you have your wild cutie 2 year old as a central character. But man, so thankful for time with them.
