well, my little mama heart has been anything but excited about this day. 5 days a week. are you kidding me? someone else looking into your sparkling eyes and answering your inquisitive questions? hearing you laugh at your friends and teaching you new concepts. no thank you.
i have been loving that they keep post-poning the start date. it feels like little winks from God to me.
So we did last trips and lots of play time, i was able to process and adjust and this start of school did not have to feel so abrupt.
On our first morning of orientation, you were so excited ( and a little nervous, you kept telling us) we prayed so much going into school that you would feel that Jesus was with you. As soon as we got there it was so fun to watch your little confident self running up to friends and greeting them.
To hear you be the first to answer questions on the " mat time" and shine as the confident, fun, bright little light you are.
This was the little flower you made out of play dough you were so proud of..
Jude, your buddy from last year was there and she was so happy to have you!
I did not have to push you to get out of bed, you popped up and excitedly go ready. and then the all day long wait happened. and Sophia and i just played and cuddled, read books and said " i miss layla about 50 times"

you definetley loved the little umbrellas in the grapes, that was your favorite part. We had a cone full of presents, some peanut butter cookies and we were just SO GLAD to have you HOME!!
