Jet Lag Baby....

So...i read different articles online about how to deal with Jet-Lag for a baby and/ or toddler. It gave the number : 5 days. Expect 5 days of madness...waking up in the middle of the night, meal times being off, fussy, clingy, overall baby-is-melting down.

which was about right. the second or third night she woke up and was up for 3 hours from 3am-6am. here is the crazy thing, i loved every minute of it. i cannot say that the whole week after i was able to receive each moment with as much joy, but there was this sphere of grace for this particular moment that i could delight in my baby doll.

her little girly mind was working at full steam...feeding, changing, swadddling, taking care of her babies. we had a middle of the night dance party. we drank tea. =) we sang songs, she told me stories, we read books.

we cuddled for a good hour. and i just let her sink into me. my little doll baby is almost two, i can not believe it. i love how chubby and sturdy her body is so that it just feels like i can squeeze her and kiss her and love on her. i imagined the future- her at 8 or 10 and sighed. i just want to seize these moments...my squeezable adorable babe cuddling with her mama. that she wants me to hold her close and kiss her.

( she settled into this position on her own, so cute that she wanted to cuddle with all of these!)

i know, i know, she is still so young, but i am having those mama moments...looking back at her newborn pictures and anticipating our next little bundle...feel so so grateful for our bear.

i really need help on the photography end of things, but i took some pictures from different angles...

this is how her feet look all the time...even when we mop...she runs into the stairwell...

so independent!

my favorite!

(these were not taken during our jet lag night...=)
