fun outings...

so january's storms couldn't stop this fam. no way, no how. we will take your storms and match you with outings galore, thank you very much.

we love to make memories, so we will go for it. grocery stores. play grounds. indoor play grounds. carpet shopping. Gigi and i took the girls shopping for a rug and after we left to stores claire said " more shopping, mama? this is fun!"

and i have to say that having an extra set of hands to load in and out of cars is very nice. (thanks gigi!) especially...when it is raining...or parking is horridous and you end up parking so far away...

i love seeing Claire's eye light up from seeing new things. i love talking to her about new enviroments and surroundings. i love watching her interact with people. i love debriefing the experience with her.

i also love when my sweet husband and i get time together. We stole away (sans children) and ate at a new snazzy restraunt. we are "favorite " kind of people...we find favorite spots, places, traditions...but we branched out. And it was so fun to try something new and love the setting, the food...the conversation. being married to your best friend has the perk of never running out of conversation topics...

and lastly it was fun to show Gigi our world. you just can not portray in words the feel of lebanon. the traffic. the parking. the people. the way they shower your kids with so much love and attention. the way they rush to help out strangers.

we dropped in on one of my friends and she was hosting people for lunch. i was so embarressed and told her we would come back. she insisted that we stay and kept saying "we are rejoicing that you came at such a time" . it struck me how genuinely she could say that to me. it was her joy that my mother-in-law, me, and my babes came to eat her lunch. wow. i need more of that in my heart!
