Summer Swing

I think i might be hitting my summer stride. It involves $0.18 rasberry popsicles, salad with italian dressing, music loud in the mornings, iced coffees to wake up and the beach.

without a doubt, i under-estimate how amazing it would feel to live by a beach. i am wondering to myself if this feeling of euphoira...utopia will ware off in three years time, five years time...perhaps. but for now. bliss.

i have decided that twice a week is a must, 3 times a week is icing on the cake. so that means:

1) a women’s beach day with my buddies and claire’s buddies...

2) and a family beach day

  1. and maybe just maybe i can squeeze in another time between those times.

drew and i calculated and i think we live 1 mile from the beach when it is all said and done. it takes us about 15 minutes on a weekend to get to the free public beach. We went Saturaday- i packed treats, and had bought beach chairs. we found a perfect spot and the waves were coming in one after another in such a beautiful rhythm that it was hard not to just be in the water the whole time. Layla bear loves it, and it is challenging to stay afloat with her, cause she does not want to be in the shallow part, she wants us in waist- chest deep throwing her up in the air if a wave seems to high. adrenaline rush for the momma, adrenaline rush for the babe. shriek from the momma and shriek from the baby.

i am sure that you will see more pics and hear more beach stories from our summer here...
