Claire Bear's Birthday Party

oh i love to party. i love to plan parties. i love to celebrate people. i love to celebrate claire layla caldwell.

how i wish i had endless resources so that i could transform a space and make it feel sort of "ah-ha" for my little girl. but alas. i do not. and it is hard to even know where to start when it comes to buying decorations and things to make....

that being said...we tried our hardest. we wanted Claire to feel the excitement, the joy, the celebration of her birthday party.

it started out with cuddles in bed with Pop Pop. a personal favorite pastime of Claire's these days.

and then the decorating...our theme was "under the sea" this year. Claire loves the beach, and we visited an aquarium in Tulsa...so we love fishes and sharks and all things that live under the sea.

and presenting the balloons..which was very important to make this feel like a birthday party

and then the presents

and the fish cake my mom and i tag-teamed on!

and then my favorite - the activities! we had a dramatic reading of "one fish, two fish" by Pop Pop

and no pics of this..but a "shark attack" game by which baba was the shark!

We love our Claire Layla Caldwell with all our hearts and can't wait for another year with you!!!
